More Information & FAQs

Audio Info

We have a range of professional broadcast quality microphones from Neumann, Shure and Electrovoice. We use premium converters from Universal Audio and class-A preamps to ensure crystal clear sound.

For podcasts we recommend the Electro Voice RE20 microphone, which is a broadcast classic. For voiceover, we would typically use a Neumann TLM103, to give the crisp clear quality required.

Audio is typically compressed lightly at the point of recording to ensure consistency and avoid clipping. If you would prefer raw audio please let us know.

We can record at up to 192khz and 32 bit depth, although we offer 48khz 24bit as standard. Files can be taken away on a hard drive or transferred almost immediately after the session.

Payment

We ask for payment to confirm each booking.

You will be provided with an invoice which will include details for bank transfer. If you prefer to pay by card, we will send a payment link.

f you cancel your session within 48 hours, we will retain 50% of payment as a cancellation fee.

How do I get there?

The studios are located on Emma Street, which is a 2 minute walk from Cambridge Heath station and a 10 minute walk from Bethnal Green underground.

5-10 minute bus routes are available to both Shoreditch and Liverpool Street.
There is paid parking outside the studio which is free after 17:30.

Video Info

Video podcast sessions are available for two people. These are engineered sessions which include the following equipment...

  • 2 x 4k Sony ZV E-10 Mirrorless SLR cameras, which have no record limit and variable 16-50mm lenses.

  • 6 x LED lighting panels are provided in the studio which are dimmable with adjustable warmth.

  • Professional tripods and 128GB SD cards.

The studio can be dressed as you like and a digital logo can be mounted on the screen in the recording space.

If you are looking to take away raw footage, we strongly recommend you bring an SSD hard drive to your session so that video files can be quickly and easily transferred on the day.

Support

We will always do you best to support your projct to the best of our ability. We have worked with a range of clients, some recording for the very first time.

Contact us for a free consultation ahead of your session to understand your requirements and better support you throughout the recording process.

Amenities

We provide complimentary hot and cold drinks.

The studios have small kitchen areas which include a sink, fridge, kettle and microwave. There are toilets and showers in the Containerville site.

We are able to arrange food for talent upon request for an additional fee.

When should I arrive?

Please aim to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your session begins. If you arrive earlier than this, we may ask you to come back later.

If you have booked an hour recording for a remote session, please do not arrange for the meeting time to start on the hour as we will require 5-10 minutes for people to arrive and settle. If your recording time is an hour, you will need to book an additional 30 minutes to allow for a comfortable amount of arrival / leaving time.

We are dog people

Our smallest part-time member of the team is Mr. Bibs. He is a 10kg dog whose job is to greet clients and sleep during sessions. We also welcome your own pets!

He does this admirably, however, if you have an allergy or are afraid of dogs please let us know and we’ll ask him to take the day off.

If you have a dog allergy, please let us know in advance and we will ensure that the studio is cleaned and that anti-histamines are made available before your session.
